First floor modernist apartment with unique details
This is a regal building built at the beginning of the last century, it is located within the Special Assembly of the Eixample Cerda and the conservation Sector of the Eixample – securing the building further preservation. The buildings façade introduces floral decoration elements in its stone arches around the main entrance, and has decorated metal railings around the first floor.
This six-story building has a symmetrical façade, and a central hallway on the first floor, which resides between two large balconies, each surrounded by a stone balustrade. Each of the other floors has three balconies, which all pay great attention to detail, especially with their detailed metal railings.
The living space boasts 3.65 meter-high ceilings, and faces towards and interior patio, thus eliminating many exterior noises and providing a quiet and spacious feel. With this interior patio on the southwest side of the building and the buildings façade on the northeast side, the apartments within the building are provided with ample ventilation and illumination throughout the day.
There are great possibilities in terms of distribution of interior space, however our recommendation would be to keep the living area and bedrooms on the south side of the space, as they are in excellent condition, and to work on the other side of the apartment, adding a bathroom and study. This would further maintain the original features which have been conserved in the apartment, which give it the modernist character so unique to Barcelona.
